Dr Jodie Hunter speaks at 2018 Education Summits

CeRME member and DMIC co-leader Dr Jodie Hunter was invited to speak at both the Christchurch and Auckland Education Summits in May 2018. These summits were convened by Minister of Education Chris Hipkins as a forum for students, parents, teachers, school/ECE leaders, researchers, school trustees, policy makers, employers and other stakeholders to contribute to a nationwide conversation about the future of education in Aotearoa NZ.

Dr Jodie Hunter was invited to speak at both summits about the Developing Mathematical Inquiry Communities project, which promotes culturally responsive, pedagogically ambitious mathematics teaching that enhances equity, identity and achievement for all learners. Dr Hunter was also an invited member of the plenary discussion panel that closed the Auckland summit.
